THE COMPANY recognises the importance of the security of Personal Data and of electronic transactions, and has taken all necessary measures, using the most modern and advanced methods, to ensure the greatest possible security. All information relating to users’ personal data is kept confidential in compliance with the applicable legislation on the protection of personal data. The security of THE COMPANY’s e-shop is achieved through the following methods:
Customer Identification:
Two codes are used to identify the user/customer: the Login Code (Username) and the Personal Secret Security Code (Password). Each time they are entered, they give the user secure access to their personal data. The user may change the Personal Secret Security Code (password) as often as they wish. The only person with access to the user’s data is the user, through the above codes, and the user is solely responsible for keeping them secret from third parties. In case of loss or disclosure, the user must notify THE COMPANY immediately, otherwise THE COMPANY is not liable for use of the secret code by an unauthorised person. THE COMPANY’s e-shop never discloses or publishes the personal data and information of users/customers. Personal data is used solely for the proper execution of transactions. All information is encrypted and stored with complete security.
Ensuring the Confidentiality of the Transfer of Your Personal Data:
To ensure the confidentiality of data transfer, THE COMPANY uses the SSL 128-bit encryption protocol.
Encryption:
From the start to the end of the online session with THE COMPANY’s e-shop, all of the user’s/customer’s information and personal data is encrypted using the SSL 128-bit encryption protocol. Encryption is essentially a way of encoding information until it reaches its intended recipient, who can decode it using the appropriate key. Each time the user connects to THE COMPANY’s e-shop, all communication between the user’s computer and THE COMPANY’s systems is encrypted using a 128-bit key. That is, each time the user sends information to the system, the browser first encrypts it using a 128-bit key and then sends it to the system. THE COMPANY’s system first decrypts the information it receives using the same key (which is determined when the user’s connection to the service starts) and then processes it. THE COMPANY’s systems send information following the same encryption procedure.
Login Codes (Username) & Security Codes (Password):
To log in to THE COMPANY’s e-shop, the user uses two codes: the Login Code (Username) and the Personal Secret Security Code (Password). THE COMPANY’s e-shop allows the user to change the Personal Secret Security Code (password) as often as they wish, and for security reasons THE COMPANY recommends that users change their password at regular intervals and avoid reusing the same codes.
Personal Data – Confidentiality of Transactions:
Users’ details (name, profession, email address, home address, landline, mobile phone, etc.) and the transactions of the e-shop’s users are considered confidential, as in ordinary transactions in a retail store. When users provide their details in the course of their transactions, as with this document, they will be informed by THE COMPANY and consent to and accept the forthcoming processing of this personal data, for the needs of smooth and easy transactions between the parties, as well as the transmission of this data to recipients who will be specifically identified and who are the employees and agents of the company in the course of carrying out the contract being concluded. This document also notifies users of the existence of the right of access and the right to object under articles 12 and 13 of Law 2472/1997. It is confirmed that only authorised employees have access to transaction information, and only when necessary, e.g. to process orders.
Furthermore, THE COMPANY undertakes not to disclose customers’ details and their transactions, unless it has written authorisation from the customers themselves, or this is required by a court decision or a decision of another public authority. The personal data declared in the e-shop under the SOLCORE trademark is used exclusively by it or by businesses cooperating with it, for the purpose of supporting, promoting and executing the transactional relationship, promoting goods and informing customers.
This e-shop fully complies with the personal data protection law implementing Regulation (EU) 2016/679, and in particular with Article 17.
